See, breaking bones has an upside.
As we enter week 2 of my forced vacation I have a small statement I'd love to make.
"I am so over being hurt!"
I feel better, even if its only to vent a bit, I do feel better. I started off thinking I could do the 5 weeks with out doing anything. That lasted for about a day, when boredom leaped in and I felt like I was gaining weight just standing there.
So I went climbing.
Not the smartest thing I admit, but it felt good to be doing something but it hurt like crazy, and my PT friend who I respect, and I'm afraid of, told me how dumb that was.
So, now I'm in the midst of making up workouts that help fight boredom, and stay a little strong. I feel saved by finding a work out by a climber names Paul Robinson who shattered his ankle and actually came back stronger after wards due to his training while hurt.
For the most part I've gotten used to the stares. As Cyn says, I look like a train wreck. One leg, busted foot and crutches begs the question, "What the heck happened?"
The real plus I feel is that its blazing hot here so climbing outside right now down ow in the valley is pretty much on hold anyhow.
Of course there is the high stuff, don't get me started.
