Every spring men around the country have a list of projects they need to get done. The list is an unending stream of motivation and focus that is one of the few clear moments we all have. I'm just like everyone else. Sure, I mow the lawn, and trim the bushes. Sorta... But my list differs after that from most men in America. Mine revolves more around swathes of rock ranging in different lengths from 80 to 150 feet. Sometimes it's a crack, other times its small edges that create a weakness in the rock I follow. But always, the project I'm working on gets in my head and stays there until it's done. Every season, I find climbs I love. They start with where they are and what they climb. I'm drawn to different things in a climb, sometimes I love to plug gear. Other times clipping bolts is my desire, but always it's motivated by the line the rock lays out. I think it's really cool how God laid the groundwork for us to enjoy nature so much. Climbing shows me the Creators hands all the time. When I lock into a project somedays, its like your on a living thing. Other days, that living thing tosses you off like a kitten and laughs at you. I didn't say projects were easy, quite the opposite is true. In fact, Cyn has gotten used to me and the way I'l go on and on about the ones in the fore-front of my mind. For me, climbing is a list of projects that goes on and on. A list I'll never get to the end of, and thats just the way I like it! Take care, Peace.C
